“Since founding Sweet Petunia seven and a half years ago,” the duo recalls, ”the driving forces of our creativity and partnership have been a love of music, an intrinsic need to express loud and unabashed queerness, and a dedication to strong political and moral convictions. When presented with the opportunity to join forces with a label like Righteous Babe - one that holds firm the same fundamental truths of what makes a community strong - it was an absolute no brainer. After years spent in Boston’s thriving, politically-centered DIY scene, the only way working with a label made sense was with one like RBR. They’re a collective founded by artists for artists with a care for art above all else, fostering an environment of camaraderie that includes not only their exceptional roster but the fans that follow along year after year. We are so excited to join their community and continue championing the causes we’ve always stood for!”
