Todd Sickafoose - Dogs Outside
Critically acclaimed bass player Todd Sickafoose has performed with many innovative instrumentalists and songwriters, including bohemian folk songstress Noe Venable. Hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as a "captivating improviser and a master of collaboration," Todd has been on tour with Ani DiFranco since the spring of 2004 and plays on her last two releases Trust and Knuckle Down. The Northern California native has also lent his bass chops to over two dozen other recordings.
Dogs Outside is Todd Sickafoose's debut record as a bandleader, and was made entirely in 10 hours! It is an electrifying album, featuring some of the best recorded playing of bandmates Peter Epstein, Mark Ferber, Alan Ferber, and Justin Morell. Hailed by the LA Times as one of the best new discs of 2000, Dogs is an improvisational feast for the ears and a perfect choice for the music fan with a sense of adventure.
