This album is a 10th Anniversary Celebration for Appleseed Recordings. This label was established in 1997 to "explore the roots and branches of folk and world music and sow the seeds of social justice through music," and this sampler disc set really exemplifies these ideals.

It is a two disc set that includes some new recordings and many of the label's classics. This folk-packed sampler includes tracks by Ani DiFranco, Donovan, Pete Seeger & Bruce Springsteen, Tom Paxton, Eric Anderson, David Bromberg & many, many more.
