From the Seattle Jazz scene Hans Teuber has made a name for himself as a horn player with finesse. Hans is fluent in the musical language of any genre, playing soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones as well as flute and clarinet. In addition to sharing the stage with Ani as part of the horn section of her band, Hans has performed Brazilian music with Jovino Santo Neto, as a soloist with the Jim Knapp Orchestra, and with Julie Wolf, Jeff Johnson and John Bishop among others.

In nine original compositions on his first solo album, Lucky, Hans explores instrumentals with a Brazilian flavor. The band was built around drummer Paulo Braga, who has played with all the Brazilian greats, and includes acoustic guitarist Paul Meyes and bassist Santo Debriano. Hans’ fluid, lyrical woodwinds float overtop of this solid group.
